Meet the Director
Aly Kaba has spent a decade leading operational and strategic development in government and nonprofits, serving the Mayor’s Office on African Affairs (MOAA) since 2015 as Interim and Deputy Director. He champions economic and social equity for DC’s African immigrants by expanding access to city services and managing key community grant cycles. Kaba also advanced DC's global trade strategy during a diplomatic mission to Ethiopia. He holds a Master's in International Economics, is a Certified Public Manager, speaks five languages, and lives in Ward 5.
